1.1 - The purpose of EGBDL (Draft) is to randomly distribute players to a pre-determined number of teams using a draft system, giving the result of several evenly matched teams. These teams will play each other for the league championship, thus making it so everyone has the same chance to win a league title.
1.2 - All games in the Extreme-Games Base Duel League (Draft) will be played in a sub arena of SSCU Extreme-Games. The settings of EGBDL (Draft) will be as similar to Extreme-Games BaseDuel arena.
1.3 - Any player who does not adhere to the rules in this thread, is subject to any punishment deemed necessary at the discretion of the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s). This includes games suspensions or banishment from the league.
1.4 - It is the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s) responsibility to enforce all rules & penalties. Any over-sight on the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s) behalf will not result in extra penalties for the person(s) involved, but will result in the proper consequences which are provided by these rules.
1.5 - Any of these rules and the following mentioned might be adjusted, added to, or removed if there is a sufficient reason by the league coordinator(s). This will not ever occur without proper notice being given to team GMs (at least 24 hours).
Player Rights and Responsibilities

If a referee or moderator asks a player to cease behavior that is deemed inappropriate, they must stop immediately. If a player is argumentative, belligerent, racist, or rude to the referee they will be kicked out of the zone. Pending a decision by the EGBDL (Draft) league coordinator(s), the player may be permanently banned. Referee abuse of any kind is totally unacceptable. Referees should be given proper respect that is commensurate with the responsibilities they have.
2.8 - During a match any form of messaging (i.e. private, squad, frequency, etc.) to another player that is actively playing and not on the same squad will not be permitted. This will be considered a form of interference.
2.9 - A player may not change names during a season, unless the GM updates the player’s squad roster with that name.
3.1 - Sign-ups will be open to all players of Extreme Games & the surrounding zones. All those who sign up with their full EG username, whom are active, that don't alias or cause disturbances which would be harmful to the league, will be allowed to participate.
3.2 - The league coordinator(s) will choose refs and General Managers (GMs), both of which will be selected carefully by the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s). Refs do not need to be EGBDL (Draft) participants, while General Managers do.
3.3 - All players who wish to register and play in an EGBDL (Draft) league must sign up by registering on the EGBDL (Draft) forums, and responding to the sign up thread in the sign up forum or !signup in pub arena in SSCU Extreme-Games. The beginning date for sign ups will be whenever the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s) wants it to be. The end date and time for sign ups will be decided upon by the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s).
3.4 - Once a general idea of the number of participants for EGBDL (Draft) has been determined, the number of teams & their General Managers can be decided. All GMs will be selected before the draft begins. GM's will be chosen carefully by the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s). The number of GMs chosen will be based on the number of players that sign up to play.
3.5 - A Sunday schedule will be made after all GMs and team names have been finalized with weekday games to be scheduled by the GM or Captains on the EGBDL (Draft) forum. The league will be held in one division, where each team will play each other at least once during the season. There will be a pre-season of 1 week, followed by the regular season, and a playoff format at the end. The regular season and playoff format will be decided upon by the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s).
3.6 - Refs are the last stage of the setup process. They will be chosen by the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s) when he/she deems necessary. General Managers may not become refs. Refs will be responsible for setting up, starting & managing games, and displaying the outcomes.

4.4 - The draft will be conducted with as many GM's present as possible in a sub arena of EG. The random draft order that is assessed will flip-flop every other round. For example, if A B and C were GM's picking in that order in round 1, they will be picking C B and A in round 2, A, B, and C, in round 3, and so on. All rounds will be conducted regardless of how many GM's are present. A website (forum) will be used to assist in the drafting process.
4.5 - If a GM is not present for the draft, he has 2 choices of which to make in order to draft his team. He may either:
-- 4.5A - Send a proxy letter to the EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s), in order of his most-wanted players to his least-wanted. The EGBDL (Draft) coordinator(s) will select only from this proxy list, the player at the top of his list who is most available for every round. This will continue until the list is completed, or until the GM shows up, or unless/until B occurs:
-- 4.5B - Let the top draft pick present for each team may proxy for the GM at any point in time, as long as the GM has given the necessary permission to do so.
-- 4.5C - If neither A nor B can exist, then the league coordinator(s) will pick for the GM who is not present for draft day and will simply pick the top remaining player in the draft pool for each pick in each round.
4.6 - All GM's will be given exactly 1 minute to make a selection. If a GM goes over his allotted amount of time he will automatically take the top pick available. If a GM or proxy is not present, the pick will be made as quickly as possible.

4.8 - At no point is any GM allowed to pass on a selection.
